Paula Oleska started to study singing at a young age with Mrs. Zofia Korniszewska, the director of the choir of the Warsaw Philharmonic.  After coming to New York, Paula continued her studies with Antonia Lavanne, a professor at the Mannes College of Music, and later with Atarah Hazzan, the primadonna of all the major opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera.

She spent three years in the Master Class of the world-famous
theater and opera director Frank Corsaro, and was a recipient of a Kosciuszko Foundation grant to attend the summer program of the renowned opera director, Boris Goldowsky.

As a mezzo-soprano, Paula made her operatic debut in the role of Third Lady in

Mozart's The Magic Flute, and then continued to perform in many  roles, such as Cherubino in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro,  Hansel in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, Olga in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Count Orloffsky in Strauss's Die Fledermous, and many others. She  performed with many opera companies, including Amato, Bel Canto, Brooklyn Lyric, and others.

Paula was also very active as a recitalist, specializing in art songs from Slavic countries.

As much as she loved singing, eventually Paula decided to turn her attention to developing her unique system of self-improvement, Brain Upgrade®. While her priority has been helping numerous individuals transform their lives, Paula continued to give private concerts for select, invited audiences.

She devoted several years to preparing a performance of the new, contemporary poems by the celebrated Polish poet, Stanislaw Baranczak, which he wrote to the famous song cycle by Franz Schubert, Die Winterreise.  The poems captivated Paula's musical imagination because of their brilliant and masterful commentary on our current reality.  S
he had performed nearly the whole cycle in private concerts, when the poet unexpectedly withdrew his permission, so regretfully his amazing poems will not be available to the public in their song form.

For the last three years, Ms. Oleska has been honored to be the Resident In-House Singer of Elite Professional Networking Group & Black Tie International Magazine, where she performs regularly.

Paula is available to entertain at parties and at private and corporate events.
